This old wood bowl has been around my house as long as I can remember. I long ago stopped using it for food when the finish started to break down. It has been used for a lot of things besides food since but for the last few years it has been sitting on top of my cupboards collecting dust – between dustings. Every once in awhile, I look at it and think I should probably throw it out. But I never did.
A few weeks ago, I noticed my aloe vera was getting out of control huge and needed re-potting. I could not find a pot in my shed that was big enough and not plastic. Enter this old wood bowl. 3 holes drilled in the bottom, a little bit of chalkology paste and presto change-o my aloe vera has a new home. I am quite happy with it and so is the plant. I think even the bowl might be a little relieved to be off the shelf.
