Jeans and Ink – An old trend resurfaces.

Jeans and Ink

Ink on denim is one of my favourite things to do. When I was a teenager, I used to dress up my jeans with fabric paint and embroidery thread. The more mistakes I made with the fabric paint, the more embroidery thread I used. Eventually, I guess it became too much work because I stopped. Or maybe I just ran out of fabric paint. I can’t really remember.

Chalk Couture brought all that back for me because it is so easy. And I won’t run out of ink. The transfers are great for picking design elements out for running up or down the leg. Or on the pocket. And the ink is so easy to use and set, the results are perfect every time. In minutes.

Now I don’t own jeans that I have not inked. Plus, I want to go buy jeans, just so I can ink them.

Supply List: New Jeans, Chalk Couture Transfer, Bright White Ink, Ink Mat, Small Squeegee, Iron, Parchment Paper.

If you haven’t tried ink, I encourage you to give it a try. You will find you are suddenly personalizing your jeans, making tons of t-shirts and filling your up your tea towel drawer. Or maybe pillows, pillow cases or even a banner for your mantel. It’s addicting.
