Art spell book made for Halloween but also perfect for role playing game fans!
One of our very talented Couturier’s posted a tutorial on how to make these spell books and I immediately thought of at least 3 people I knew who would want one – all role playing gamers! LOL! The supply list was mostly stuff I had in my chalk studio. What I needed was the a spider and web and luckily it was Halloween so the Dollar Store had what I needed.
Shimmer Copper seemed like the only choice for colour and I added a little on the edges to give it an aged leather look. I am super happy with the result even though it was the messiest project I have ever done. That is the challenge when working with Mod Podge if you are me. (sigh)
I love this art spell book so much, I ended up making 3. For one I used a masquerade mask for the front and a little metal embellishment I had of the drama faces on the spine. They were super fun to make and I already have ideas for this Halloween.
Supply List: Book (this one is Myth & Magic, the Art of John Howe), Mod Podge, Paper Towel, Plastic Spider and Web, small paint brush, Shimmer Copper Paste, Matte Black Spray Paint.
